Kea’au Elderly Housing is an elderly independent living apartment complex located on the outskirts of Kea’au Town. The site is within short distance to a shopping complex, banking, health clinic, police and fire stations and the County of Hawaii’s Coordinated Services Senior Community Center. The property is located behind the police station at the end of the cul-de-sac at 16-184 Pili Mua Street. 

The project is comprised of four one-story apartment buildings with a combined total of 20 units. Units are one-bedroom/one-bath with approximately 594 sq. ft. of living space. Kitchens are an L-shaped design just off the parlor and are designed with wooden cabinetry, Formica countertops, furnished with an Energy Star refrigerator and range, and are equipped with a range hood. The main living space expands from the front entrance to a sliding door at the rear which leads to a rear lanai. The front entrance is also accessed by a private lanai as well. Bathrooms are off of the bedroom and are equipped with a wooden vanity and Formica countertop and have a tub/shower combination. Units are floored with VCT tile.

The property is equipped with a large community space for tenant events, a resident manager’s office, and a laundry room for tenant use. Residents have access to shared raised planter boxes for growing plants.

This property is limited to households who’s head, co-head, or spouse are 62 years or over only.
